For sale is this 2006 Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution IX Group N rally car, finished in classic white with red and black graphics, a proven, reliable and highly competitive four-wheel-drive machine that has been campaigned at national level across the UK and Ireland over the last five seasons with a consistent record of class wins and top-ten overall finishes. Built on a genuine Evo IX RS shell by a well-known Mitsubishi rally specialist, the car was fully rebuilt over the winter and is ready to compete straight away. Power comes from the legendary 2.0-litre 4G63 MIVEC turbocharged engine, built to Group N specification with a 33mm restrictor, anti-lag system, forged internals, a programmable ECU and a full rally exhaust, producing around 290bhp and 560Nm of torque, with just 14 hours of use since a full rebuild by a respected engine builder. Drive goes through a Sadev six-speed sequential gearbox with an uprated twin-plate clutch, the active centre differential and plated front and rear limited-slip differentials, giving superb traction on both loose and sealed surfaces. The car comes with two complete suspension setups, with Reiger three-way adjustable dampers for gravel and a lowered tarmac setup with adjustable anti-roll bars and rose-jointed arms throughout, while braking is handled by AP Racing four-pot calipers on 355mm tarmac discs and 300mm gravel discs, with a bias pedal box and a fly-off hydraulic handbrake. Inside, the seam-welded shell features an FIA-homologated multipoint roll cage, two in-date Sparco seats with matching harnesses, an FIA bag tank, a plumbed-in fire system, a master kill switch, a Stack data logging dash, a Terratrip trip meter and a full intercom system, while underneath it is protected by Kevlar sump, diff and fuel tank guards.
